Ensenada MA summer 2017

This girl was excited to receive a home!

This summer was incredible. Our last Mission Adventure team left on August 12th. It was bittersweet after an amazing and yet challenging summer. Mission Adventures is truly making a huge impact here in Ensenada. From March to August we hosted over 550 participants, built around 20 homes for families in need, witnessed around 50 baptisms and many more were led to Christ. We watched students step out of their comfort zone and trust that God would use them. Students prayed for a lady in a wheelchair who then GOT UP OUT of her wheelchair, and another young boy prayed for healing for a lady who said while he was praying she felt the pain leave her body! So many cool stories and so many lives transformed.

Noah got baptized!

For the summer we had around 30 staff helping us run the program. Most of them returned home last week. We are so grateful for all their hard work this past summer. It’s hard to imagine that anyone would want to come work 16 hour days with hardly anytime off and not get paid a dime! What’s even crazier is the fact that most of these guys want to come back next summer to staff MA! God is so good because Jamie and I couldn’t do this without lots of  help.  There is so much that goes into MA, we are also so grateful for all the kitchen staff, finance office, worship band, HOH, and the vehicle and maintainice guys. YWAM has a great crew and we are happy to work alongside them.

Jamie and I will be spending our time this fall to focus on the the ministries MA works with, building more homes, planning next MA season and recruiting teams and staff for next year. Somewhere in the middle of everything hoping to find some time to get away and time to make some jewelry. We will also be doing some fundraising for our financial support throughout the remainder of this year. We don’t get paid by YWAM, so we need to raise money to cover our living expenses. Please keep us in your prayers as we continue ministry here in Ensenada, MX.
