Our Spring MA season wrapped up a couple weeks ago, and while it’s no surprise that God moved in incredible ways, it is however, humbling and beautiful to get to be a part of it all.
I decided to keep an on-going list of special moments this season to have as a reference for when my very short memory is sure to fail me. Moments that made me pause for a minute in the beauty and presence of who God is and how he chooses to do life with us. I looked over my list this morning and was consumed with joy at how many memories I had written down. Memories of miracles, of divine encounters with people on the streets, of the Holy Spirit giving me precise words to speak over students, of witnessing students hearing from God for the first time, of new revelation of who God is and where he is leading Ronnie and I, and the list goes on.
I could fill this whole blog just with the memories I took the time to jot down. So much happened in these 4 weeks, and yet, in the midst of a crazy schedule there was intimacy, growth, and contentment with what God is doing in and through us. I was thinking about this today. About how it’s not the amazing Mission Adventures program (as great as it is) that gives me these moments. It’s the fact that during this season I am so much more intentional with all areas of my life being in alignment with God. Leading a program that challenges students to live fully in Christ, in all areas of their lives, will make you pause and ask yourself if you are doing the same. It’s this intentionality that sets me up to witness the miracles, to see break throughs, to live a life that is full and purposeful and exciting. That being said, we are beyond excited for our summer season coming up in June.
500 students are coming down and will leave with memories that will affect the rest of their lives. But I’m also excited for these days leading up to it all. For being intentional with God when it’s meetings and emails, program prepping or getting to hang out with friends because I’m learning that God uses all moments, big and small, to take us deeper into who he is, and to experience the miracles that come with doing life with him.
