June 2015

Jamie got to paint another mural in the new student/staff lounge on the TJ YWAM base!IMG_2613IMG_2609  It looks so good! The mural took hundreds of hours to paint! We had several friends come in and paint some really late nights with us.IMG_2608 IMG_2615

After we finished the mural our DTS students graduated! It was such a blast walking with each of the students and getting to know them. We are grateful to have gotten to know each of them!

On the 25th of May YWAM’s Homes of Hope celebrated 25 years of building homes for poor families in the Tijuana and Ensenada area.

It was a huge party that weekend. We had 1,000 people visit our base after completing all 25 houses. Loren Cunningham (YWAM’s founder) gave a message and we had tacos, churros and lots of fun!

IMG_2606IMG_2611IMG_2616IMG_2610We took some time off to spend with family who visited from Ohio. On Fathers Day Ronnie and his Dad got to build a house for a family in need! It was such a blessing for both of us and for the Family.  IMG_0162IMG_0132

bunk beds a mission adventure team built at a homeless shelter.

We are full swing in our Mission Adventure program. Our next team arrives tomorrow. Over the last few weeks we have taken kids to visit orphanages, homeless shelters, rehab facilities and to do various ministry projects and evangelism. We built bunkbeds at a homeless shelter. We built a bathroom and fence for a family who had recently received a Home of Hope. It is so cool taking kids to do projects like this in the communities around us. People eyes are opened and their hearts are changed. What a powerful ministry.  Our next MA team arrives tomorrow and will be here a week. After that We will head to Ensenada to our sister base for 2 weeks to speak and work with their MA program. IMG_2536 IMG_2524
